Form through Abstract Art

The artist for this painting is  an abtract artist from Whales named Van Renselar. He tries to illustrate everyday encounters in a new and innovative way. This work is entitled "I am a Camera"

This sketch is of a Versace coutoure gown. I chose this because I felt that a 'fashion design' encompassed all of the elements of the definition of design according to the above definition.

Architectural Design

The Chateau Chambord is a French castle that features Renaissance architecture and designs. This type of design blends traditional medieval forms with classical Italian structures. I admire the elegance and simplicity this type of architecture displays. The symmetry in the domes and arches evokes a bold yet subtle statement.

Tuscan Interior Design



The tuscan style of interior design is quickly becoming more popular. The warm undertones and lighting fixtures transport you to the villas in Italy. This design features natural elements, warm colors, metal detailing and old world accessories.

Types of Design

1. Graphic Design

-Graphic design is a method used in various ad campaigns, logos, and even in websites. This picture represents an ad used by the Salvation Army to raise awareness about the homelessness in Brazil. I chose this pictur, because I thought that it was innovative in the way that it displayed the design pattern for a t-shirt over an articl about homelessness. I thought it was a unique way to convey the message, and support a great cause.
